Saturday Theatre School Class Times
Our next intake of Saturday Students will be from APRIL ‘24 in our own DRAMA BARN Studio in Central Wells with new Theatre Lights and performance space. There is a cleaning and ventilation time between each class
Many of our classes are full - there are some limited spaces available and all children joining the waiting list before the end of March will be guaranteed a place in April as we do our annual Move around!
Our Dynamic and Fun Drama and Musical Theatre classes are full of great games, drama activities, ACTING, singing, & Musical Theatre
EVERY class puts on TWO fully produced shows a year giving maximum Stage time and participation for every student!
We are thrilled to be accepting new students for Summer Term and our Summer Show where spaces are still available !
We will be working on our next shows to take place on 9th July at Wookey Hole Circus Theatre !

MUSICAL THEATRE SCHOOL CLASSES
All our classes are open to Girls and Boys of the appropriate age. All Saturday classes take place in our fully equipped drama and music space with theatre lighting, music and rehearsal rooms. THE DRAMA BARN!The Academy gives musical theatre classes which combine singing, drama and dance for children aged 4 to 18years. Our fun and dynamic classes are designed and delivered by our team of highly trained and fully professional teachers many of whom are theatre professionals and all experts & highly qualified in their genres.
The school is split into age groups and all workshops are age appropriate and work for all abilities at all levels.
After a fun filled warm up of exercise and drama games the class are then split into smaller groups to take part in Drama, Singing and Musical Theatre work shops.
When working towards a show the group will very often rehearse in small groups and as a full cast.
We produce two shows per group every year. At the Wookey Hole Caves Circus Theatre and in the drama Barn which converts into a super performance space for shows. EVERY child who attends the Academy is invited to take part. Each Class has their very own show (a full musical) so everyone can have a speaking part if they want to. Our staff often adapt and write the plays to suit all the children taking part and their personalities. The children have an input in the devising and content of the shows. Once every two years we also have a full Academy show which gives everyone the chance to take part in a professional production.
We recently did FOUR complete musicals in a Week which gave every single child the chance to be in a full length musical right from our Juniors to our Elites .. All the shows were fully produced and EVEYRONE had a good part and tonnes of ‘stage time!’
All our Saturday classes are taught by at least two teachers and two assisted by older students from the senior school. All staff are CRB checked and hold a current first aid certificate & are trained for child and data protection
