Summer School 'Show in a Week'

Come and join us and take part in a fully produced muscial in a WEEK!!

Monday 29th July to Friday 2nd August 2024

Juniors aged 5 - 7yrs 10am to 3pm

All other students aged 8 to 16yrs 10am to 3pm (some days 4pm)

Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance

Rehearsals begin on Monday and the two Shows are on Friday early Evening!! With Acting, Singing and Dancing parts for all ages and abilities.

Our show in a week will rehearse at the Drama Barn an the shows will take place on Friday Afternoon

We were fully booked by May last year so please reserve early.

 Our summer Schools give children aged from reception age to 16 years old the chance to take part in all aspects of putting on and performing in a fully produced show in a week.  Rehearsals begin on Monday and the show takes place on Friday

With Lots of parts for everyone  - Girls, Boys, younger and older students.  There are speaking, singing and dancing parts for all ages and abilities so everyone has plenty to do big or small.  The script is lively and the songs catchy and especially adapted for the children taking part.

This year the week will be directed by Penny Lambert together with our team of teachers and guest teachers - all highly experienced and qualified in their field - all are CRB checked and hold a current first aid certificate.  The staff are assisted by x-students who are studying performing arts at University or at vocational colleges.

 Children rehearse from Monday to Thursday and then on Friday we have our dress rehearsal in the afternoon followed by our very popular sausage and chip picnic supper before their big performances.

Many friendships are made and children of all age groups return year after year to see each other. Our summer school is open to everyone not just WATA Students and last time we welcomed children from France, Spain and New Zeland! Please bring your siblings along too !!
